68th Street Ocean Beach

My public LBI beach to go. Clean, sifted daily white sand, restrooms, lifeguards on duty and in training, parking availability, gazebo and plenty of sitting space.

77 degrees and sunny in November says BEACH, loud and clear! The entrance to the beach has a clean, portable, trailered bathroom (not a Port a John). There is an elevated ramp/stairway over the dunes (kudos to LBT for not disturbing the essential vegetation there) which leads to a comfortable shaded pavilion from which you can enjoy views of the ocean and bay at the same time.

Nice beach. Desperately needs showers. The waves break at a weird place so it is not the best place to swim, but is a great place to let the kids splash around safely. Also good to catch some sun. Powdered sand and some interesting shells and sun dollars.

68th Street Ocean Beach has a parking lot, restrooms and s large covered deck. It is great for picnic and getting out of the sun for a few minutes during your day at the beach. There are handicap parking spots and places to lock up bicycled.

This is a nice spot to bring my coffee and start the morning off in a peaceful, quiet way. You can't beat the sights and sounds of the beach early in the morning!
