We had a 5 O'clock reservation for my birthday dinner. My husband and I showed up 13 minutes early. Mss. Cynthia ( the manager) offered to sit us at a table even though they didn't open until 5. Then the bartender Jackson (Jack) offered us a seat at the bar for a drink.. Jackson was wonderful. Very personal, professional and accommodating. Around 5 O'clock, Mss. Cynthia walked over and informed us that a 8 top walked in without a reservation and if we were ready ...no rush,...she'd like to sit us at our table and get our order in the kitchen before the 8 top placed their order. That was extremely considerate of our time. Juan was our server. He was friendly, attentive and so kind. The food was very good. Juan even gave me a birthday dessert with a candle. This was our first time dining
My husband and I visited the restaurant on Valentine’s Day while it was noticeably busy it was to be expected on this day. We exited the elevator to find a line of people waiting to be seated. We had 8:00 reservations and were sat by 830 is by George. George was phenomenal in managing getting people checked in and seated along with helping to clear tables as well. He did a good job walking up and down the line communicating with us waiting that we all would be sat as soon as possible. We were sat and greeted by Rebekah and our experience only got better. She was attentive despite having a full section as well as serving people at the bar. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner and were cooked to perfection and flavored amazingly well. We will definitely be back. I want to thank G
My husband and I visited on January 1st at 6:30 pm to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary and the New Year. The food was very good. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were perfectly crispy, well-seasoned, and paired nicely with the spicy ranch. For dinner, I had the shrimp and grits, which were excellent. My husband ordered the ribeye; although he requested medium-well and it arrived closer to well-done, he still enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the service was where the experience fell short. While our server was polite, the service felt inconsistent and somewhat inattentive. She was often difficult to find, and there was a noticeable contrast between our table and others nearby. Another table celebrating an anniversary received special acknowledgment, while ours was not men
I genuinely wanted to enjoy my experience here, but the visit was disappointing from beginning to end. The fried chicken was dry, the mashed potatoes tasted like they came straight from a box, and the collard greens had that unmistakable “Glory greens” taste instead of being fresh and seasoned. The spinach dip was also a letdown, dry and bland with nothing but red pepper flakes tossed on top. The service made the experience even more frustrating. Our waitress didn’t check in on us, and it took 30 minutes just to get our drinks. Half of our table didn’t receive their meals until an hour and a half later. By that time, the other half of the group decided not to take their dinners at all. Overall, this was not the experience we were hoping for. With better seasoning, fresher ingredients, an
My wife and I had a wonderful date night dinner at the 8595 Restaurant inside the Partridge Inn. We went there during the week. They have different hours of service than I’m used to. They are open in the morning until 2ish for breakfast and brunch then they close until dinner time. Open at 5:00 pm then closed at 10:00 pm. You need to make reservations to get good seating. It’s a very elegant restaurant, and it has no dress code. The service is good and the food is excellent. My favorite is the duck fat fried chicken, and I washed it down with some freshly brewed southern sweet tea. Chef Joe and his team are amazing cooks! The Partridge Inn was built in 1910 by George Walton, one of Georgia’s governors and one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. It was his residence before
