Came here after checking into our room since the neighboring business was full. The roti with curry was good. The roti was crispy and the inside a lil doughy, the curry that came with it was ok. The Hainan chicken was cooked to perfection. The ginger sauce tied the whole dish together along with the red chili sauce and soy/oyster sauce. The rice was ok, kind of hard and dry. The wonton noodle soup we got was ok. The broth was seasoned well with that savory taste that reminds me of my childhood. The noodles were bouncy and good mouth feel, the wontons were ok, not so soft a pillowy and dense. My youngest did not like the taste. Their service not so great. Dont sleep on 88 Noodle Papa. It's not a fancy place with all the bells and whistles like some other places in Shanghai Plaza but you'll get some amazing food here. To be more specific, the Hainan Chicken is amazing. We've come here with my family and brought many friends here from different backgrounds and they all love it. I recommend the dark meat since it's juicer and tastier in my opinion. It is $2 more but definitely worth the extra cost. The ginger and sauce they give you is my absolutely favorite. I've had Hainan Chicken in Singapore which is the best I've had but for not having to go to Singapore, this place is incredible already. I've never had a bad experience here for food. Prices are a little higher than I'd like but we keep coming because the food is solid and tasty.

food is delicious, service is quick. i got the calamari and chicken soup ($30 after tax for both). both delicious, but the portion doesn’t justify the price. i wouldn’t come here again, just because i can find similar meals with great taste for a fraction of the price

No frill Cantonese quick bite (noodle and rice plates) with a slightly high price. I think the prices for certain items are slightly higher than they should but not outrageous. I'd recommend that you go early because it can get crowded during lunch time. The service is quick and efficient. The place is a little small but has clean restrooms. The food is decent and very Cantonese. Don't expect northern Chinese noodles there but if you set your expectations right it's decently delicious. I like the chicken dishes very well but they do charge $2 extra for legs and it adds up. Overall I like the place but wish the price is slightly lower match the quality of the food in general.
