I visited there yesterday I’m from Akron oh and I was in there area and I drop in to get some ribs and I ask the gentleman how was everything and what idea do he sale the most He told me. So I already had it on my mind everytime I go to a soul food restaurant it be something not good. Long story short EVERYTHING I Ordered and my fiancé and daughter and grandson had was GREAT down to the cornbread and Koolaide I never had no soul food taste that good that cornbread was excellent ribs greens yams bake beans green beans and potatoes salad I been bragging on this restaurant to family and friends we will be back soon. This wasn’t the place I was looking to go but, we gave it a go. I would definitely come back, and eat here again because, the food was good; especially the fried chicken. My only disappointment was the place being too cold inside during the winter, and the Mac-n-Cheese could be much better. The food is quite a bit over priced; roughly $7 more than the menu listed price per meal. However, I had a hankering for some soul food. The wait is very long because, there was one man doing all that hard work. The quaint place was very clean inside; too include, the bathrooms.

Decided to give this place a try and man the Ribs were tough! Ontop of being tough they weren't hot you could definitely tell they were trying to rotate ribs and heat them up. Some were dried out some were hard like literally you couldn't chew the meat. The ribs/bones in general at least needed 20 to 30 minutes longer on the grill. They were horrible TRASH. Paired IT WITH cabbage and it was SOUR old AND TASTELESS I COULD SEASON BETTER than than but, instantly since I could smell and taste the sourness TRASH. I Guess all these reviews must be from dine in orders or close friends and family or caught him on a day he was cooking fresh food cause me being a random to go order that I waited 35 minutes for it was a waste of time. O but the bbq sauce was amazing.

Food is excellent! Had the rib tips as he was out of the bones. Tips were the best I've ever tasted. Tender and moist seasoned perfect. Can't wait to try the ribs. Had the sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. Both were really amazing. Definitely made from scratch, no canned anything on my plate.

I ordered the 4 piece wing combo with greens & Mac n cheese. They did give me 2 extra pieces of chicken. However, the greens taste like straight vinegar & the Mac n cheese was greasy & super over cooked, the chicken was bland (no seasoning). My man got the hoagie & fries, the meat was like hamburger meat, once again no seasoning & greasy! This cost us $50+ & we had to wait atleast 30 minutes for the food.
