Aangan Indian Restaurant

I stopped by for lunch just to see how it was. This location has had so many restaurants not make it that I wanted to make sure I left a review because this place was wonderful and we need more great spots to go to. I had the Lamb Vindaloo and it was so good. I will definitely coming back and supporting another great local restaurant!

My husband and I popped in for Valentine's Day without a reservation. They had space and it was beautifully decorated. The only downfall was that it was very bright, light-wise, for the evening. A little dimming would have been perfect! The waitstaff were kind and helpful! We will definitely be back. They did recommend if we come back on a weekend to make reservations!

I finally got a chance to check out Aangan Fine Indian & Nepalese Cuisine located at 600 Richmond Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601. The first attempt didn't go well as they were busy and newly opened. I'm happy to say that this time, we were seated immediately. As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted with the smell of simmering Indian spices. That's always a nice thing! They have a vast menu with close to 140 different items, including some dishes that aren't common in other Indian restaurants. It can be hard to choose! Here's what we got: We started with Vegetable Samosas for an appetizer. They had a flaky crust and were just a tad spicy. They gave us two dipping sauces, a tamarind sauce and a mint one. Delicious! I could smell the wafting scents from the parking lot on their Grand Opening Day. I enjoyed my first bite through my last. I got dessert to go as very full from sampling from the extensive menu. Everything was fresh, flavorful, perfectly prepared. I can see the restaurant will make a name for themselves in Lancaster. Additional note: offer lamb, goat, chicken, seafood in addition to the vegetarian options. Yes, they had an association with Aagan in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Sister restaurants include Himalayan Fusion in Harrisburg as well as Khana Indian Bistro in Hershey. The staff was very friendly and I received excellent service. Recommend you check them out soon. Very excited to have an Indian restaurant in this area. Food and service were very good! We will definitely come back.
