Acqua al 2 - Annapolis

Recently moved here from DC, and this is by far the best service I’ve experienced at a restaurant in Annapolis. Our server, Renaldo, provided us with absolutely impeccable service. Serving is something that makes or breaks the experience, in my opinion, and Renaldo understands the craft well. He offered good recommendations in response to our questions, and his supporting service staff was also great at never letting our water glasses get below half-full and always promptly removed dishes out of the way. I ordered the double-thigh? chicken dish and it was simple, but well done. Our appetizer which had ricotta cheese, herbs, and a cooked red sauce (maybe eggplant too?) in a small skillet was a great starter with their good-quality sliced baguettes. Had a wonderful dinner tonight at this fabulous Italian restaurant. We had tuna carpaccio, ricotta spinach balls, linguine with clam sauce, pasta with eggplant tomato sauce, and tiramisu. I think I would prefer the baked ricotta and spinach balls without the radicchio. Their tomato sauces are excellent. Service was fabulous. We had reservations for 5 o’clock. I definitely will eat here again and I definitely recommend this restaurant. Came back again and had a few other dishes. I had the Baratta appetizer which was absolutely delicious. I also had the Panna cotta dessert, which was excellent. I also forgot to say that the lemoncello is delicious and is made on site. We also tried the semifreddo nocciolato which was OK but not my favorite.

My boyfriend and I came here two days in a row and both times we had impeccable food and service, but we have to highlight our server tonight, Lenny, for outstanding service! He has been our favorite server we’ve had at any restaurant we’ve been too, and we frequent michelin restaurants where we’ve had lesser service than what Lenny provided, The mushroom mascarpone pasta was our very favorite, the second being the penne allá vodka, the third being the gnocchi with the basil sauce, and i personally very much enjoyed the spinach and ricotta balls with the meat sauce. The drinks are amazing as well! One of my favorite espresso martinis in annapolis. This is definitely my boyfriend and I’s new go to date night spot when we’re here in annapolis, if you can, ask for Lenny!

Our waitress Amy was amazing helping me to “quietly” celebrate my birthday. She was attentive and helpful. It was a great birthday dinner

Love love love this place! The food is always delicious and the service top notch. The new location has a very different atmosphere from the old one but it’s okay. Our server was great, attentive, and very helpful with menu questions. We will definitely come back.
