First time in Houston and Agnes & Sherman was a must. Friends highly recommended it and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I made the reservation weeks in advanced because I like to maximize my time traveling with less time waiting. We came for dinner and immediately loved the ambiance: upscale diner vibes with thoughtful wall art and decor that made the space feel warm and inviting. We ordered a lot to try as much as possible. Scallion waffle, shrimp toast, rangoon, jian-BLT, crispy shell-on shrimp, egg foo young, steak frites, and rice cakes; and there wasn’t a single miss. Portions are generous and perfect for sharing. The scallion waffle with sambal honey butter was the clear standout and worth returning for on its own. The deconstructed rangoon was incredible, the rice cakes were a

Very busy restaurant, reservation recommended. The decor and design, food and service were great. We tried the scallion waffle with orange sambal butter (I want to put the butter on everything, it's so good), and paid for the orange chicken add on, which is 2 boneless chicken thighs. We also got the Thai crab omelette and pandan French toast. Everything was super good, and there were still things on the menu I wanted to try, so I'll definitely be back.

The service is great, staffs are very friendly. Great decor and atmosphere. It could get very loud, when the place gets full. Overall, most of the food tasted very good! Pandan ice cream itself is great, the coconut whipped cream overpowered the ice cream imo. While we really enjoyed the food, we probably won’t be returning because the menu feels limited, and the other items didn’t interest us enough to come back. However, I would definitely recommend trying this place at least once.

Agnes and Sherman is a diner located on Montrose, which focuses on Asian-American fusion, and brings a creative twist to the Asian-American fusion food scene in Houston. Their menu has a variety of different classic American dishes, such as burgers, BLTs, Cajun food, Tex-Mex, and more, and blends it with a variety of dynamic Asian flavors from Korean to Taiwanese to Vietnamese, showcasing a "fusion within a fusion," that reflect their diverse culinary backgrounds. The dishes I tried were savory scallion waffle, chicken caesar salad wrap, and egg foo young. The savory scallion waffle was my favorite and was a food mixture of sweet and savory with the sambal honey butter. The chicken caesar wrap was more on the oily side but very crispy. I did wish it came with a sauce to dip in, as it fel

My husband and I took his family here to eat after Christmas and had a wonderful time. We made a reservation the night before for lunch. We initially made a reservation for 5, but they were able to accommodate and increase our reservation to 6. We were seated at a big booth and we all fit fine into that without needing to put a chair at the end. Our server was excellent. He was very honest with recommendations and very patient as we tried to figure out what to order. It did take some time to get water refills and to get our check at the end, but otherwise, it was a great experience. The food is so good! A great fusion spin on Asian cuisine. We started out with the savory scallion waffle and everyone agreed that we should have gotten another one. The food then came out as it was ready. We
