Airport Restaurant & Gin Mill

This is such a cool place, you can watch the private jets take off and land and watch people land with parachute while you enjoy your lunch. I had the Flounder Reuben, the the fish was moist and delicious but the toast was super oily. I would still return to the restaurant.

We had heard great things about this place so decided to give it a try! Pretty cool atmosphere right at the Deland airport. The food was yummy and service was good. They have kids meals as well!

Good food. Server made it feel like she wasn’t trying to be at work that day. Be aware that sharing a meal will cost you over $2, (split fee) they won’t say anything, you won’t get extra food but it will be on your ticket. Look out for it. Also the Jalapeño poppers are good but 5 SMALL pieces (size of a small pizza roll) will run you $8.

Always good to have cheeseburger and beer and watch the planes on a lovely Florida winner day. Not my dog but pretty friendly on the deck.

My mom and I frequent this place. Most recently it was Daytona 500 weekend and we thought for sure we would have to wait for a seat, low and behold we walked right in and found a table for lunch by the window. I had the perogies with sauteed onions, they were better than I expected. My mom had the Caesar salad with chicken and the veggies were fresh and crisp. I highly recommend the green bean appetizer too! If you are there on a day when the sky divers are jumping you may want to get a seat outside on their covered patio, which also has a full bar.
