Aja Asian Cuisine & Lounge

Great sushi specials (buy one get one specialty rolls). Volcano roll tasted a bit fishier than I was expecting, but otherwise yummy and large portion! Wonton soup was a bit smaller than I was expecting but the wontons were well cooked and hearty! Amendment: went back later on (two months later) and the volcano roll was still very fishy, ended up making us a bit nauseous. Will probably avoid the fish next time. There were also no people dining on a Sunday night, a bit odd.

Visiting New Brunswick for Rutgers' Homecoming weekend. Went to Aja Asian post tailgate. Convenient location right on route 1, free parking lot, spacious interior, clean bathrooms. Service spotty, despite our being there had been scheduled weeks before, maybe due to large crowd. Food only so-so. Only vegan options were spring rolls, which tasted store bought, not house made; and veggie fried rice - bland with very few veggies, yet priced as an entree, not a side dish. Mango margarita offered as drink special for the evening. Tasted like a mix. Note to self: don't order margaritas in an Asian restaurant/bar.

Date night, first time here...we wanted to grab a quick bite before we had to get to the AMC nearby, and this place did not disappoint 🥰 I started with the miso soup, nice and warm, flavorful, and a nice amount in a cool looking bowl. Before my entree arrived, I ordered a Pink Mao Mao (vodka/sake/strawberry based) and it was delicious, which is great because I'm not usually into strawberry based drinks at all lol.. I ordered the Foxy Lady sushi while my date had the Volcano, both were so yummy, definitely cleared my plate 🥰 Everything was so great, including the atmosphere and our waitress. Will definitely come back to experience more dishes!

I love this place! I love the people, the food and atmosphere! I moved close by about 9 years ago and this is my go-to sushi hibachi and ramen restaurant! If you like sushi, you need to try the summer blossom and the black and pink roll. If you like cooked rolls the Yellow Submarine is the best, YUM!

I have no complaints. The atmosphere was very gorgeous. This was my first time and the food tasted great! Some of the best sushi and salmon I’ve had out! The waiter was very nice and present. His recommendations were on point (thank you Caleb). He asked what we liked, we said fruity drinks and he delivered just that with “purple haze”. I will definitely be coming back!
