I was very impressed with my first visit! The daily specials are well-priced (the BBQ ribs almost won me over), but I was in the mood for something light. Let me tell you about the chef salad: OMG, it's enormous! It’s not just a side salad; it's a magnificent meal. The star was the perfectly smoked turkey, which brought such a deep, delicious flavor to every bite. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and satisfying. The best part? I have a huge amount left over for lunch tomorrow. Incredible quality, generous portions, and great value. I'll be back to try those ribs!

Sorry, no pics of dinner! We split, a bowl of clam chowder, full rack of baby back ribs, green beans and baked beans. Everything was amazing. From the soup to the green beans, very flavorful. Highly recommend. And pictured, my husband’s peanut butter pie. It tastes like a Reese’s. Very good. Note, they don’t serve alcohol, but their ice tea is pretty good!

So glad we heard about this unique restaurant! Service was outstanding!! Food was FABULOUS-DELICIOUS and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Highly recommend eating here. We had the fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms, full platter of ribs with their homemade slaw, potato salad, fried okra and mac n cheeses. Yes, it was a lot but we intended to get enough for another meal at home. Believe me on how big the servings are we have plenty. Go enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food, you won’t be disappointed!! Travelers from Indiana, in the heart of the Amish community.

So we decided to eat at Aikens tonight like we've done many times before. It's the only game in town. I ordered brisket, baked potatoes, and a side salad. The food arrived and it was absolutely awful. The salad had old mushy lettuce with a side dish of fruit flies in it. It was disgusting. Then the hushpuppies had mole spores on them. The Mgr. indicated that the hushpuppies were made fresh everyday so it was a seasoning. I've eat a 1000 of their hushpuppies and number one I believe they are bagged and contain no green onions. The Mgr. On duty was less than professional. Dressed as if she were some where else other than work. Then she actually wanted me to pay for a meal that wasn't fit to eat.
