Casual, low-key place with Mexican and El Salvadoran food. Pupusas were very hot (temperature, not spicy), gooey, and cheesy, and I got some fried chicken special that was very crispy and different than the standard Mexican fare. The water comes with some lime juice already added which was a nice touch. Their mild tomato salsa seems a bit heavier on oregano than most other places and maybe a bit less on the cumin. It’ll be personal preference what’s better, but I like that it’s different. I’m hoping to try their more standard Mexican food next to see how it compares to nearby places, but their specials were good and not easily found elsewhere. Dining room was clean, and their kitchen is partially open with the open parts being clean. I didn’t use the bathroom, but I’ll update on how clean
Really solid local spot specializing in El Salvadorian food (and tacos too haha). The atmosphere is very casual and a good choice for any time of the day. You order at the counter and they will serve you if you choose to eat there. We were really impressed with the yucca fries. Very delicious, and it satiated our yuca frita craving from when we went to Costa Rica recently. I had the al pastor and fish tacos which I thought were okay. I enjoyed the fish taco the most. I must try the pupusas next time. I bet they are fire.
A very welcome addition to the inner sunset and probably the best burrito in this part of the city: grilled, flavorful, and a nice mix of pickled peppers inside. Really liked the shrimp and fish tacos. Looking forward to trying the rice plates and chilaquiles next time. Horchata was excellent.
Best pupusa of my life outside of one spot in El Salvador Like woah. Wow. Perfection. Plush dough, generous bean and cheese filling the cheese has a delicate tang to it that cuts through the beans The curtido is my fav ive ever had , i imagine they make it in house ive never seen ghis beautiful pickled purple cabbage Im mind blown truly. Get the pupusa plate with black beans and spanish rice I like the habanero hot sauce for my rice and beans and i LOVE the chipotle on my pupusa. Unreal need to come back ASAP
Delicious pupusas!! This is what the Inner Sunset has being missing. So glad we have quality and affordable Salvadoran food in the Sunset. I will definitely be back. Also, they have a really spicy and flavorful habanero salsa. Can’t wait to try more of their menu
