Alfapan Hispanic Bakery & Restaurant

I bought a tres leches cake for a work function, and it didn’t disappoint. The cakes are all beautiful and tasted great! Will likely get cakes from here in the future.

Absolutely worth the stop! Alfapan Hispanic Bakery in Delco Plaza has such a wide variety of fresh, delicious baked goods—it was hard to choose just a few! I ended up getting four large pastries, a fruit tart, and two horchatas for only $23, which was a pleasant surprise since the items aren’t individually priced and we were a little nervous about the cost. Everything was amazing, but the horchata really stood out—hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. I grew up in Florida, and the flavor instantly took me back home. We only managed to get a picture of the fruit tart because we dug in so fast—that’s how good everything was! If you’re in the area and craving authentic Hispanic pastries or a truly great horchata, this is the place to go!

Food is blan, tasteless and with no substance... disappointing. Service is nice, but they agree with you about everything you ask (going in one ear and out the other).

I'd been wanting to try this bakery since I heard it opened. I love pan dulce and buy it quite often from other local bakeries. I stopped by early on Saturday morning (~9). Place was empty but clean. Grabbed a few things but though it felt odd that they felt a bit harder than this type of bread usually does when grabbing with the tongs. I even decided not to get some items (like the cinnamon roll) because it felt very hard (I even showed my husband by tapping it on the shelf it was on, and it clinking). My husband asked the cashier if it was fresh or from the day before, but she just shrugged. At the end, I ended up with 6 pieces of bread and a piece of cake from the case, about $27 in total. We then tried a little bit of each layer that morning, but everything was hard and slightly stale.

Bakery is great, papusas were not good unfortunately. They were like store bought, undercooked, and tasted rotten. We usually love papusas but we spat these out
