Alfonso's Cantina

Excellent quality ingredients with some actually brought from Mexico 🇲🇽 whatever you get, food or drink will be delicious and very authentic. This is the second restaurant from the owner and is absolutely incredible. I’m vegetarian and appreciate that they have quite a few options with veggies. I got nachos and a burrito, both excellent!

What a pleasant surprise. We were tired of Italian food, every time you go out, every restaurant has the same menu, different name. So we took a shot in the dark and decided on this new Mexican place in the intox shopping center. We were very glad that we did. We ordered nachos for the appetizer they were delicious. I ordered the spicy shrimp which came with rice and beans and my husband ordered the steak burrito which was stuffed and delicious. Food definitely had flavor. For dessert we shared a piece of Mexican cheesecake also delicious as well as head to drinks each. The restaurant was not crowded, service was fast and friendly, atmosphere was simple enough, nothing fancy, could definitely bring the entire family to eat there. Talk about a hidden gem on Staten Island, what a great meal we had at Alfonso’s Cantina. From there Queso Del Mar appetizer as our starter to our entrees Campestre Chicken & Alfonso Tacos to Borracho BBQ, everything was superb!!!! Thanks for a great dinner!

I enjoyed dinner last night at Alfonso’s and can’t wait to go back soon! The waitress was very friendly and the service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean. Also, the prices were reasonable! We shared the Choriqueso and then got the Shrimp Tacos and Alfonso’s Tacos. The portion of protein in the tacos were a great size. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh and authentic! Also, the drinks were incredible- with lots of options for margarita flavors. The owner, Alfonso, is very welcoming and came over to make sure everything was good!

WOW!!! This establishment is really good. Very authentic and great atmosphere. I love this cuisine and this place offers a great experience. The food is very fresh and delicious. Friendly staff and prices are very reasonable. Definitely looking forward to attending again.
