DO NOT TRUST ALLURE FOR INTERNATIONAL TAX MATTERS! I used Allure Accounting (Marena) for a number of years and recommended her to my daughter who moved to the US and subsequently sold a rental property in Canada. The firm bills themselves as International Tax Experts so I was led to believe this type of filing was within their expertise. However Allure made a serious and costly mistake that would have cost my daughter about $30,000 in extra taxes had we not intervened and found a tax treaty between Canada and the US that applied in this case. I was very disappointed in Allure's service and lack of expertise in international filing matters. They have not taken responsibility for their error nor has Marena responded to my request for a refund of the $1,800 fee she charged for filing the ret

Please be careful. This company is run by Germans with lots of attitude and will push you in the corner when you do not follow their direction. Do NOT give them any sensitive information about your situation.
