I had a really great time at Alma Mexicana. We stopped by for their Alma Date Night Special which happens every Wednesday from 11am to 9pm. The space is nice with plenty of seating and a outdoor area that I'm sure is great when the weather is nice. The service was great as well. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful with the menu. For $35 dollars the date night deal includes choriqueso, six street tacos of our choice, churritos and our choice of a bottle of wine or a margerita pitcher! You really can't beat that anywhere. This was my second time here (the first time I only came for drinks). It is definitely one of the best in Winston. My daughters (9 and 7) loved the kids nachos; one of them ate all of it. The portions are more like an adult size, which they appreciate! My husband got the fried chicken ACP and devoured it. I got the shrimp tacos, and they were amazing. My love for eating out has gone down over the last few years, because I can cook well myself. However, this hit the mark! Great food and atmosphere!

I didn’t know what to really expect but I must say that everything was very good! The food, drinks, customer service and atmosphere was outstanding! I will be back for sure. I really enjoyed my flight of margaritas 🥰.i like the fact that it’s downtown and convenient to Bailey park.

Thinking about stopping by? You could and you should do just that. This spot has a cool, laid-back vibe right in the heart of downtown Innovation Quarter. Enjoy a great meal while taking in the awesome views of the beautiful Bailey Park. The service is excellent A+ with kind helpful and welcoming staff including the awesome Manager Jay. I came for lunch and stepped outside my usual Coke for a Spicy Mango Ginger mocktail, Whew it was spicy too & super refreshing. I ordered the Cha Cha Quesadilla (with crispy fried chicken and lots of yummy melted cheese) it was delicious and filling. Now the bonus was the Texas Pete hot honey drizzle, it took it over the top and gave it that sweet heat. Went here with my boyfriend and his family! I am visiting from Denver, where tacos are a huge deal. Firstly, the service was great. Our server was accommodating and very kind. She recommended the Blood Orange margarita…best margarita I’ve had in a while. I ordered the Yucatán shrimp tacos…so freaking delicious! Well cooked as well. The atmosphere was chill, and the tables were clean. I highly recommend this place.
