Amanecer Cocina & Café - Gordon

Came here three times and had a great experience every time. I had the chimichanga, birria fries & chilaquiles verdes. The chilaquiles verdes were the best, super tasty. The birria fries were really good and I enjoyed the chimichanga as well. The staff is kind, food comes out without too long of a wait and the protein in each dish is very flavorful. My only complaint is that the orange juice is overpriced, $8 for a small glass and the drink prices aren’t on the menu.

My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a couple of months now the food was delicious. They have so many pancake’s to choose from ! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food come here and eat It’s delicious.The Coffee is great ! Try it. You will not be sorry the atmosphere is friendly and inviting and the servers are great. The food is hot and delicious!! We will be back !!

I have been here at least 4 times and every time has been consistently great. Food, service, atmosphere, staff have always exceeded my expectations. Vero was my most recent server and she was super friendly and attentive. I've not had a single bad item here so if you're feeling adventurous to try something new , do it!

Haven’t dined in yet, but our takeout order was fantastic. We ordered the Sunrise Burrito and the Birthday Pancakes. The burrito was massive with generous portions. I’m usually not a fan of wet burritos, but this one absolutely delivered. The carne asada was outstanding, super flavorful and cooked perfectly throughout. The fries were a great surprise and honestly some of the best I’ve had: crispy, well-seasoned, and not soggy at all despite being takeout. The Oaxaca cheese wasn’t overpowering and tied everything together perfectly. The Birthday Pancakes were light, fluffy, and packed with flavor - you barely needed any syrup. This easily ranks as one of my favorite breakfasts in Wilmington, which says a lot considering we didn’t even dine in. Can’t wait to explore more of the menu when

Dangerously Delicious 🥰 Amanecer Cocina & Café is the kinda treasure you never see coming! Whether you like El Cerro, or Los Portales this place will knock your socks off! Our table ordered Carne Asada Fries with their House Salsa, Ranchero Omelets, sweet teas and coffee. That first bite hit me, and it was just...Mmm! Place was busy, yet the Server was Attentive, and Food was Expedient! I Highly recommend experiencing Amanecer on your next lunch excursion!
