It's a typical hookah lounge. The food is good. Seating comfortable. Patrons are listening to music they want and tv they want.. which ranges from Bollywood and soccer to hip hop and football. I stopped here to see why it might be rated so highly. Maybe it's the casual atmosphere or friendly service... I can't be sure.
Love this place! Like many have already mentioned, it’s a casual spot so don’t expect anything super fancy. That being said, it was a very welcoming environment and the food was top notch! My server did a great job and came to check in on me, would love to visit here again.
The service was incredible! Very attentive and kind. The food was great too! This was our first time trying Ethiopian so we got a little of everything, including the veggie plate, chicken tidbits, and stew. My stew was a bit on the spicier side which I wasn’t expecting, but if you like a little kick you’ll enjoy it. The seating is a little low and can get uncomfortable after a while. Overall though I would come back for good, home cooked style food!
I was feeling sick with the flu and staying at home when someone recommended I try Ambassador Restaurant. I called to place my order and explained what was recommended to make sure I got the correct dish—Shiro with Injera—and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, hot, and comforting, giving me the energy I needed while I wasn’t feeling well. What I loved most was how easy it was to eat. When you’re sick, it’s often hard to swallow food, but Shiro was smooth and perfect for the moment. What truly impressed me was their incredible hospitality. The owners treated me like family! Along with my order, they sent an orange 🍊 with the driver, which I hadn’t even ordered. Later, they called to check on me and suggested mixing the orange with honey and ginger—a traditional remedy to b
Definitely a locals place and locals vibe. Lots of old uncles chilling and talking about their day. Staff is a friendly part of that mix, and creates a warm vibe. We had the veggie platter along with the chicken tibs and the Ambassador (beef) tibs. Everything was solid, pretty flavorful, and appreciated the chicken and beef quality. Decor is a bit strange, very cheesy club aesthetic that doesn't go with the chill vibe. But it was all part of the experience. There are a lot of Ethiopian and Eritrean spots in this neighborhood, and they're all about the same honestly in terms of food quality, but this place distinguished itself with the very warm and friendly service.
