Ambience Restaurant & Bar

We usually go to Brockton for Haitian food, but decided to try this newer location since it’s closer to where we live. We came during dinner hours and were the only customers there. We were greeted immediately, which was welcoming, and our server was very nice. She mentioned she was in training and had a trainer beside her, but she did not have a notepad to write down our order, which already made us a bit concerned. We ordered spaghetti djon djon with hot dogs on the side and a Griot fritay platter with goat meat. The fritay platter took at least 45 minutes to come out. While waiting, we were told they had run out of hot dogs. The server offered Barbancourt-glazed wings or shrimp instead. My sister and I visited the restaurant, and everything was just as we expected. The food service was fast and presentable. The waiter, Ernst, was wonderful. I strongly recommend this place for brunch, ordering out.

Save your time and money and avoid this place. There are way better Haitian restaurants in the Boston/South Shore area, this place simply isn’t worth it! The place itself was a dingy spot not very appealing, and nothing close to the rich Haitian culture you’d hope for or what they have been promoting on social media . They were out of a lot of options on their menu, which made choosing a meal frustrating. The food we did get was a huge letdown. The Djon Djon spaghetti was nasty and overly salty ($23 for spaghetti that doesn’t come with meat or veggies is a JOKE), the fish was completely dry, and the Honey Barbancourt Glazed Chicken Sandwich turned out to be a tough, plain chicken breast smothered in generic barbecue sauce, far from what we expected. Really delicious Haitian/Caribbean food. The atmosphere was also really nice. The jerk sauce (hot) is SO TASTY. It’s made in house. If you like spicy you will love it. Everything came out fresh, the chef was so nice too.

New Haitian restaurant opened in Canton. The food was delicious especially the chicktay appetizer. Can't wait to go back again. My cremas martini was on point.
