American Kolache

I’m so glad this place is here for an easy breakfast or lunch on the go! I’ve had the Crab Rangoon and the St Louis Pizza (featuring PROVEL!), and they were both exceptional. Staff is friendly and attentive, even while they are building bulk orders, which I appreciate. The kolache buns are so sweet and fluffy, and balance out the savory selections (stuffed inside) perfectly. The location is conveniently located on Bardstown road with plenty of parking. These are only about $4 each, and one fills me up for breakfast. I can’t wait to try ALL the flavors.

The food, service, and atmosphere are astronomical!! The owners and family are so kind and go above and beyond for their customers!! I used to get fast food every day on my lunch break but now that this bakery has opened I’ll never go back! The price point is amazing at just $2-3 a piece and they are DELICIOUS! So many different flavors to choose from and even sweet treats to share after! There’s truly something for everyone! Thanks American Kolache!!

It's an order at the counter and go kind of place, no seating inside. I ordered four different kolaches: sausage and gravy, egg and cheese, raspberry cream cheese, and spinach and artichoke. The sausage and gravy was my favorite—I can totally see myself stopping by on my way to work to grab a couple. The others were great too. Overall, I was really impressed. I will return, for sure!

2nd day of opening .. couldn't wait! Just had some in Texas and so happy we have one in louisville now !! We are really stepping up in the food scene. And it's awesome they have such a wide savory selection. So the big box fits 9 round kolaches. They write the abreviation on the inside of the lid so you can match the columns and rows. Tried not to rock the box when u ordered 6 :-). The owners were out chatting with the customers and explain the fillings to us!! Great service !! Got a family biz vibe !! After tasting the kolaches .. yummm .. nice and yeasty !! The 'Merica was delicious and the BBq Brisket is awesome too!! Plenty of parking in front of the biz.

First time trying a Kolache. Good amount for price. Only tried 6 but liked them all. Easy in and out. A must try if in Louisville.
