Amrit Palace

Loved it! Great ambience and decorations; lots of seating as well. For appetizer, I got the chilli chicken (extra hot) which I highly recommend. And for the entree, I got lamb bhuna, seekh kabab, and garlic naan. The lamb bhuna was great, the lamb was very tender and flavored well. The seekh kabab wasn’t my favorite it was a bit chewy and bland. I also tried all the side options and the chickpea salad with the mango vinaigrette and the daal soup were my favorites. The service was also great and quick, my server Anand explained each dish well and was very helpful!

Food tasted really fresh and well made, just felt like a few dishes could’ve used a bit more time for the flavors to deepen. Loved the ambience and the service was great. The cocktails were a fun twist on classics —the Tipsy Lassi was my favorite. Would definitely go back.

We were super excited about Amrit Palace opening in Gainesville because we’ve had food from the original location in Ocala and it lived up to our expectations! Everything was fantastic - the atmosphere, decor, service, and food. Our waitress was Meleny and she was lovely! She provided very attentive and friendly service. We ordered the “create your own course” and added the additional entree + sides. Our food came out promptly and it all looked and tasted delicious. We were so excited about the food we forgot to take pictures of anything until dessert. The price is great for the portions you get - we wound up with leftovers to take home. We’ll be frequent flyers of Amrit GNV for sure!!

For 25 years, I’ve been making the drive to Amrit Palace in Ocala, so having them right here in Gainesville feels like a dream. The new space is beautiful, warm, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell they invested in making it truly special, and it absolutely shows. We went opening weekend and the food was outstanding, every bit as good as the original location. If you’ve never experienced Amrit Palace, you’re in for a serious culinary treat. Instantly my favorite restaurant in Gainesville.
