The Anacortes Museum, Maritime Heritage Center, and W.T. Preston exist to preserve and interpret the history of Fidalgo and Guemes Islands and to nurture in the community an awareness and appreciation of its heritage.

Great informative and well put together displays. Love that the museum offers QR codes for more info. Docent was helpful and answered questions. The space is an old Carnegie library building with displays on the main floor and more information downstairs near the bathrooms. There is a lift one can use if there's disability issues. The fountain in front is beautiful with an information board nearby. Even if you don't go in, stop by and see the building and grounds surrounding it.
Great little museum with the history of the local port town of Anacortes.
I love the history of Anacortes. Love the historic building.. that actually used to be the Anacortes library. back in the 1900's AND THE 1800'S PRITTY COOL HUH? :)
Interesting but really small. Most of what was on display was for a future rotating exhibit that didn't have any info on it, and there was very little about the history of the town itself
A nice museum. Lots of old pictures of the history of Anacortes.
