Angry Crab Shack

First time here with my husband and what a great experience! Ready to go back again! So much to choose from on the menu. Started with appetizer sampler $18 (choice of 3 items out of many) and chose battered shrimp, calamari, and hush puppies. Calamari was just ok, shrimp was amazing, and hush puppies were very good with a little spice and served with cocktail and tarter sauce. I ordered the battered cod on lunch menu with cole slaw and it came with a drink for $12 (cole slaw was not great but fish was excellent)! Husband ordered red beans and rice $8 and huge portion for that price and he loved it! He also had the blackened sea bass about $18 which had a large portion of fish that tasted amazing with vegetables and rice. It was so much food, but we really splurged to try a variety

I wanted a shrimp po boy... Something as hard to find as a good eggplant grinder in Phoenix. (You can't find one.) It was everything a shrimp po boy should be. (Yes I added cheese.) Fried shrimps, fries, baguette. Perfect. Topped with hot sauce and ketchup obviously. I ordered to go, my ticket fell in butter... I ordered a beer while I waited. Worth it. I will be back. My ticket didn't "fall in butter." Turns out I called a different Angry Crab. I was told it happens often... NGL. I thought about driving to get another but decided against it since I was full. I do suggest in the future you guys just say you don't have the order and "you probably called another one." Still will be back, maybe to that other one next time.

I had the crab and shrimp combo. The flavor and spiciness were good however the crab and the shrimp weren't that great. The quality and freshness seemed like it was frozen. I had higher expectations given the price pount. Service was friendly and excellent.

We have been to other Angry Crab locations many times, but this was our first time at this location and unfortunately we will not be returning to this location. We had a big party, so I understand it can be overwhelming, but our server did not seem nice about it almost the entirety of his time serving our table (our server switched to a girl who was very nice since his shift was going to end). Giving obvious signs through his tone and attitude while we were being nice regardless. The crawfish at this location had to have been the worst crawfish we’ve had, not only at any Angry Crab location, but the worst we’ve ever had in general. It was honestly physically inedible, I wish I had taken a picture. Most of our table had at least a pound of crawfish and over 98% of the crawfish in everyone

The staff here was amazing. You can't beat the lunch specials... If the lunch specials go anywhere, it will be a very sad day, lol! There was no wait time and the food came out relatively quickly. Our waitress was fun and rapid.
