Ant Street Inn

I would return. Breakfast was great! I love that they have water, coffee, tea, sodas, ice, and ice cream available for free upstairs. Walking distance to a few bars was great too to catch up with a few friends.

Lovely boutique hotel situated in the heart of downtown Brenham. Private rooms and public areas are comfortably furnished with antiques and thoughtful amenities. Books and DVDs are available for checkout during your stay. On-site restaurant offers complimentary breakfasts for hotel guests. Lunch and dinner also available for purchase. Front-desk staff was friendly and helpful with maps and suggestions. Free parking conveniently located off main street.

The Ant Street Inn is a nicely renovated historic building in downtown Brenham, well furnished with period antiques. Great location with plenty of parking spaces and within walking distance of the town square and numerous restaurants. The Inn also has is a good restaurant with excellent service. |Our only complaint was the air conditioner in our room needed to be upgraded as the room had a dank smell and was humid. The maintenance man could was very helpful to quickly bring us a floor fan and a nonslip mat for the bathtub that was missing when we arrived.

This is a hidden gem. The federal style building was built in 1899 and still has its charm and smell. The smell can literally take you back in time. The solid wood doors and furniture and gorgeous windows make it unforgettable, nothing like the same old boring hotels you can get anywhere else. The beds, the bathrooms, the desks, the hallway, the stained glass—all a chef’s kiss and an experience you won’t soon forget. In addition to the room, the other amenities are perfect. In the late evening, we enjoyed ice cream on the veranda while a Texas thunderstorm brewed in the distance, and again in the morning with some coffee while a cool breeze blew in. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it—it is. 10/10 would recommend.

This is our second time staying at the Ann Street Inn. The location in Brenham is perfect to walk abound and enjoy the local food, beverages, stores, and entertainment. Included is breakfast which has a great variety of food options with friendly staff. Each room is unique, but offer an enjoyable stay.
