Antigua Mexican Grill (Crystal Lake)

Service is phenomenal. Foods taste as perfect as it looks. Drinks are well....delicious!

Antigua used to be my go-to for Mexican in Crystal Lake. The first few times I went, the food was fantastic and the drinks were on point. But my last visit was a real letdown. The food was terrible and my drink tasted off. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but I'm definitely hesitant to go back.

I've been to the Antiqua in Woodstock and liked it some years ago. We tried the one in Crystal Lake and we're happy with our meal. We got the chicken, beef and shrimp fajitas and they were excellent. They did a great job with the beef. Shrimp and chicken weren't overcooked. The chips were good and the salsas very well done. Took off half a star because the ceviche was ok. The waitress was sweet and very attentive. We'll be back. Very happy with our meal.

First time visit for me at this location. It was suggested by a family member who joined us later. There were so many choices of delicious sounding food on the menu. I didn’t know which way to go. But what I did choose was excellent and the wait staff was very accommodating. Our three year-old grandson enjoyed the magic show after he finished his dinner. This impromptu family gathering turned into a good experience.

First time visiting Antigua Mexican Grill. My wife and I were hungry for lunch and were in the area. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was great! I had the Enchiladas Suizas and my wife had the Cuban torta. The Enchiladas were delicious and very filling. My wife really liked her torta, which was enormous. Usually restaurants fill you up with the sides (rice & beans were delicious too) but not Antigua they gave us large portions of the main dish, so much so, that both my wife and I couldn't finish our food and had to take half of it home. Next time my wife are in the area we will be sure to stop in again.
