Customer Reviews
It's cool that they have their own homemade tortillas, but these aren't it. I had a carne asada dinner. The tortillas that came with my food were reheated and a bit harder than regular store bought tortillas. The seasoning on the food was pretty good. The gorditas were better than my expensive carne asada dinner. The gorditas were very well seasoned. I did get am atole de guayaba to go, but it was pretty watered down. I will return and probably just get their tacos or tortas. I don't understand the fuss about their homemade tortillas though.
I’ve loved Doña Maria for years and have been a loyal customer because the food is consistently amazing. We’ve rarely, if ever, had any issues dining here. Today, however, we ordered through DoorDash and unfortunately our order seemed to be handled without the usual care and attention to detail. I ordered a steak torta and my wife ordered a chicken milanesa torta. My wife received her correct order, but I also received a chicken milanesa torta, and it was unfortunately overcooked to the point of being burnt. Normally I wouldn’t complain and would just eat it, but this one was too burnt to enjoy. That said, I’m still giving 5 stars because this experience is not reflective of the quality we’ve come to expect and love. I just hope a bit more care is taken with to-go orders in the future. T
I recently saw this sign and wanted to clarify what it actually means—for both staff and customers. The sign says that ICE/CBP agents do not have consent to enter the business or restaurant unless they have a judicial warrant. However, under U.S. law, ICE and CBP agents are still allowed to enter public areas—like the main dining room or lobby—without a judicial warrant, just the same as any other customer. A warrant is only required to enter non-public areas such as kitchens or staff-only spaces. Because this sign doesn’t make that distinction, it’s actually misleading to both staff and customers. Customers who may be undocumented could be given a false sense of security, thinking they are completely protected inside the restaurant when they actually are not. This sign may also bring mo
There’s no parking. You have to wait in line for a while as it is packed. Tables are pretty close to each other. The place itself is nice, very Mexican style. I have no complaints about the older lady everyone here seems to complain about. She was very attentive and friendly. Food took a little while to be served. The food was ok, not bad not the best. Prices are reasonable. What bothered me was that as soon as my husband hit up to go pay, they went and started cleaning the table when I wasn’t even done with my coffee. I felt like they were kicking me out and I struggled to get my baby, the drinks my kids were still working on, while people were trying to pass behind me pushing me. It felt chaotic.
If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further! My husband and I were very impressed with their food. We had the chilaquiles with bistec and they were very generous servings. We can't get over the HAND MADE tortillas! The service was great and attentive. There was a slight wait to get seated but it just goes to show that the business always has people coming in. We will definitely come back to try other menu items.
