Applebee's Grill + Bar

I had never been to Applebee's before but their ad for the OM burger drew me in. I was not disappointed. Our host was also our server and he was exceptionally polite and attentive. We started off with onion rings as an appetizer and they were fried to perfection. One serving was more than enough for three of us. When the burger arrived on a cast iron skillet it looked almost as good as the picture in the ad. The meat was caramelized to just the right point and the slight sweetness of the honey mustard drove the experience over the top. The fries were okay but outclassed by the scrumptious burger. Our server never came close to allowing our drinks to run dry or failed to check to see if we needed anything. My first trip to Applebee's definitely won't be my last.

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the hair in the drink from the bar. The waiter brought the drink and watched the hair get pulled out and asked if we wanted another one made?! Nah, I wanna savor the flavor of dudes shampoo... 🤣 Other than that, the server was great, food was as to be expected and we did not find any more hairs, so that's always a bonus.

As our 23rd wedding anniversary was last week, we wanted to celebrate with a bit of Nostalgia. The wait staff was friendly, however, the cooks need some serious training. 24 yrs ago, my husband & I had our first dinner date at an Applebees restaurant. We had the spinach artichoke dip and loved it. I went home and recreated the recipe and it's my most requested appetizer to this day. Today, we ordered that and it was ok, but the salsa they served was so wrong. I could taste oregano. I thought well maybe a new cook mixed it up with cilantro , then it also had a taste like chili powder or something. I brought it up and the waitress commented about them not having oregano. Ok so she gets me some "freshly" made stuff. Less of an oregano taste but seriously tasted like taco seasoning. This made

By far the BEST Applebees I have ever been to. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Summer, the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect!

I’m not sure why the Bristol location is still open. My husband and I just went to the Bristol location with a friend and sat there for 15 minutes before we decided to get up and walk out. Not one person came to our table to greet us. Not one drink order was taken. NOTHING!! Multiple staff members walked by and not a word was said. Would look away and keep walking. I have worked in the food industry and been a server myself and I can promise that’s not the way you do it! Absolutely disgusted and won’t be back.
