Applebee's Grill + Bar

One of the best place for quick bite and drinks. It is located in the Jersey Garden Mall. They also have bar setup with the few tap beers. The staff is courteous and cost is value for money. The food quality is great. They also have high chair seating area. Parking is easily available.

When we arrived, our server had multiple tables. She seemed very distracted while taking our order, so we kindly told her it was okay to take care of her other tables first and then come back to us. When she returned to take our order, there were still issues. We had to repeat our order multiple times because she kept getting it wrong. It took over 20 minutes just for my daughters to receive their drinks. We clearly stated that my son is allergic to mushrooms and specifically asked for no mushrooms on his meal. Unfortunately, the food still came out with mushrooms, which is extremely concerning given his allergy. I also asked for my husband’s broccoli to be replaced with rice, but the meal came out with broccoli anyway and it looked very old. At that point, the entire order was incorrect.

Stopped by the Applebee’s at Jersey Gardens Mall and tried the new holiday drinks — Tipsy Reindeer and Sleigh All Day with the extra shooters. Totally worth the price. Sleigh All Day is tequila-based and definitely stronger than the Tipsy Reindeer, so choose your fighter accordingly 🍹 We did the 2 for $25 and got the chicken parm and mozzarella sticks — both were surprisingly good. Portions were big enough that we couldn’t finish everything and had leftovers, which is always a win. The servers were very attentive, but they were clearly slammed, so don’t expect to be seated immediately. Pro tip: give your name and number as soon as you get to the mall for a wait time estimate, or call ahead. The space is also a bit small, so it fills up fast.
