Applebee's Grill + Bar

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I absolutely would! Ordered $70 worth of food through the app and everything seemed ok. Got our order and everything was wrong. Added mushrooms to the steak got an overwhelming amount of ONIONS with 0 mushrooms at all! Ordered flavored lemonade and it was nothing but flavored syrup. The drink was so thick we had to add water as well as our own lemonade to thin it out. Buffalo wings had no sauce just a bland dry rub that tasted like salty nothing. The food was absolutely terrible. Best thing from the order was the celery sticks and blue cheese dressing. Will absolutely not be ordering anything from this location again. I will be disputing the charge with my bank! Terrible 👎🏾

Can't dock them more than a star on atmosphere since it was Memorial Day. Everyone was so focused on cleaning and leaving that it appeared that being open took a backseat. Came in for the AYCE special. I like shrimp and riblets. Haven't been to an Applebee's in a decade and a half. I know why now. Started with the shrimp, ate two and realized I wouldn't eat anymore. These shrimp were a rebuke to crustaceans, an adulation to below the mean, champions of mediocrity. Asked if I could just get the riblets. Bartender put in the order. After a long wait, fries got cold, drink was polished of, O asked for the bill. Was informed they were coming up, but now, after nibbling on cold fries, decided to leave. Was told they are coming up (still not ready?). They took them off the tab, I paid

Great experience overall. Restaurant was nice and clean. Seemed kind of understaffed but the bartender helped service my table with no problem. Food was good. The sauce on the mild wings had a little more vinegar in it which was surprising but not a bad thing. The bourbon mushrooms burger was delicious. I couldn't finish the fries the plate was so big! Parking in front is small so go around to the back for their main parking.

Sat and waited 15 minutes. No server greeeter us. Watched staff walk around us - cleaning tables and servicing others. No eye contact whatsoever. The host smelled like weed. He was polite though. We had a toddler and left to get her food. Bed time was around the corner so my wife and I will figure something else out. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone in Norfolk.
