Applebee's Grill + Bar

This is a location my wife, my kids, & I always go to every other Friday which is one of our kid’s favorite location to eat. Food is always consistent, never fails when go. They always have a great deals and everyone knows them half appetizers. The location can sometimes be a hit & miss with the customer service depending. S/O to the ones that do provide amazing and S/O to the kitchen staff.

My husband and I went out for our 11th year anniversary. We ended up going to the Titanic museum in Tampa afterwards We planned on going to the Applebee’s on Dale Mabry since it was close to the museum and I have been there multiple times. When we arrived at the restaurant, it took 10 minutes before even being seated they were not busy at all and then it took another 20 minutes before we got up and walked out in that time we never met our server. We did however, see her go to another table and tell customers that the bar was backed up and have an issues. After about 20 minutes, we decided to leave we went to the Applebee’s in Wesley Chapel and it was totally worth it. This Applebee’s in Wesley Chapel is one of the best in the area. While in the area, we decided to stop at Applebee’s for a late lunch/early dinner. Yes, it has that familiar chain‑restaurant feel, but we were lucky enough to be served by Jessie — and she was outstanding. She hit every mark for customer service and added a few extra for genuine hospitality. Truly one of the highlights of our visit. I ordered a whiskey sour, and it nailed all the right flavors. For my meal, I stepped a little outside my usual choices and went with the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. It’s a Cajun‑seasoned chicken and blackened shrimp dish with buttery garlic, parsley, sautéed mushrooms and onions, and garlic mashed potatoes. It arrived sizzling hot, and it was absolutely delicious. The mushrooms and onions were cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were phenomenal.

My family and I came in Sunday night and we had such a wonderful experience. The bartender Lauren was our server and she was fantastic. So personable and made it such a fun experience. The food came out hot and delicious, our drinks were always full. You can tell everyone working there enjoys what they do. We will definitely be back!

I don’t usually do a review but this meal was far below what it should have been. We ordered an starter of onion rings, and chips and salsa, and mains of a mushroom/swiss burger for my wife and I got the 2 for $25 meals which were a 6 oz sirloin, one regular and the other garlic skillet and they both came with broccoli and garlic potatoes. Jessie was our server and although really busy, was very good. When the chips and salsa came out, most of the chips were broken. Now this was a free thing but when I saw another person plate come out with something else requiring chips, they looked like they got the good ones and we got the scraps! We finally got our onion rings after 15 mins or so, less than 5 minutes before our mains came out. No chance to munch on them while waiting. Not good. My wife
