Appleby Branch Library

This home turned library is a true local masterpiece that holds an abundance of history & memories for many. There is a childrens space upstairs with a full bathroom , childrens books downstairs also. There is a half bathroom under the stairs as well. When you enter the library, the librarian is usually your right in the childrens area. There are tables to study at in the adult section, which is to your left upon entering the library. Beautiful outside area that is used to host multiple seasonal events. Librarians are kind and helpful with anything that you need. There are multiple resources advertised that come with your library card. The grounds the library sit within are beautiful in spring but any season really. We'll worth your visit. Lovely, quiet spot to do computer work while traveling for business. Also nice to enjoy a sandwich in the sun on the back steps. Beautiful building - hope the county can maintain… needs some fresh paint and would be even better facility if they could open up more of the upstairs rooms for sitting and studying / reading. But still a wonderful place as it is.

Thanks to Appleby, my kids say they have found a love of reading! We enjoy the friendly staff, the ease of finding books of interest, and the activities available. I also love that I can reserve books through the Pines app and they notify me when the books are available! Being able to not have to travel to several locations, but rather stick to my local library location is a huge perk! We love that the city is utilizing a historic building for the library, and the Appleby provides that quintessential small-town feel.

I always enjoyed going to the outdoor concert series. Being outside while listening to CSRA talented musicians is a plus for me. The crowd is rightly spaced.LOL. HOWEVER, my comments to parents with small children are to monitor them and be conscious of them running around. This is a distraction and somewhat disregarding/disrespectful to the performers. #lovechildrenandlovetheserenityofoutdoorsmusic

Really cute historical library, small and quaint. I enjoyed it! Perfect place to sit down and study or pass the time. The room with the piano has a lot of natrual light. It was quite enjoyable being able to ocassioanlly peer to the yard. I will be comming back again soon
