Applewood House of Pancakes

Fun tasty food selections. I enjoyed the Senior omelette and my wife enjoyed the Trashy Grits. Cute name, tasty dish. Carla our server was super sweet and very attentive without hovering. Great experience all around.

We arrived just a little after 9am and waited AT LEAST 1 hour for our food. We were 8 people, but the place wasn't busy yet. I had eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was straight commercial (or Knorr), i.e., edible but not good. The standard breakfasts were as expected. The service good but the kitchen needs serious help.

We were excited to have breakfast at Applewood because friends recommended the quality of the food. On a sunny Friday morning in January, we decided to have breakfast before embarking on a road trip to the northeast. We ordered. We sipped our coffee. A half an hour passed. The server finally stopped by our table (there were only three occupied tables in the restaurant) and told us they did not have the ingredients for our order? We had to get on the road. We thanked them for the coffee and left. Our waffles and omelet were listed on the menu? We will always wonder about the quality of the food or if they were telling the truth OR were we the wrong age, color, or other? Weird.

Came in very early in the morning. There were very few customers and lots of staff. Service was impeccable as was the food was top shelf! Love to find a sit down restaurant in the morning early before golf! See you tomorrow morning. They even share a fountain with the t.Shirt shop next door.

My aunt, cousin and I were visiting Litchfield/PI area and decided to try Applewood for breakfast. That was a mistake. The service was great but the food was completely unseasoned. We paid our bill and left. The food went in the trash. Met the owner (Siri) and all she did was recommend another restaurant. Why would we risk another disappointment? No thanks and never again!!
