We had lunch at great little Cuban restaurant. To start we had Tostones Rellenos for an appetizer with a La Palma “Cuban Beer” brewed and canned in Nicaragua a Lemoncillo Spritz by the pool in a nearby condo building from our hotel. Our entrees included Cuban Fried Rice with tons of shrimp and my wife had a Mahi filet. The service was great and Lytes one of the owners even gave me a Hatuey Cuban beer to try. We went back two days later and brought several other family members for dinner. We even had some entertainment watching a big green iguana having his lunch on top of shrub near our table.
A hidden gem by the shore — Arlen Beach Restaurant offers a dining experience that perfectly balances flavor, service, and atmosphere. The Breakfast Bowl was beautifully executed: soft, fluffy eggs paired with vibrant spinach and blistered cherry tomatoes, finished with herb-dusted potatoes and a touch of smoked salmon — a plate as colorful as it was satisfying. The Cuban coffee arrived bold and authentic, carrying that rich, caramelized depth that instantly transports you to Havana. Balanced by a smooth Americano, it was the perfect pairing to linger over while enjoying the breezy patio and ocean view. Service was warm, attentive, and unhurried, allowing the meal to unfold at its own pace. Combined with the relaxed seaside atmosphere, it created the kind of breakfast worth savoring and
After exploring North Beach and searching for Cuban food in the area, we stopped in for a late afternoon lunch. The restaurant is nicely tucked away on the second floor of a well-appointed building and feels comfortable and inviting, with a quiet, homey vibe. On to the food, the croquetas were delicious, and the guava shake tasted refreshingly homemade. The churrasco (steak) with its lovely sauce, along with the masas de puerco (pork chunks), were very tasty and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The side orders of rice, maduros, and beans were equally satisfying. Our server was very attentive, and we even received a visit from the owner to make sure everything was going well, which it definitely was. Having access to the beach path after our meal was a beautiful way to end the visit. Thank y
The palomilla steak was amazing. And so was the Lamb chops. The home made cookies were delicious as well. Highly recommend it.
One of just a few restaurants within walking distance from our hotel. Great little restaurant tucked back in the rear of a condo building. We had a late lunch and drinks. Empanadas were delicious and salads were very large and very good. Sangrias were on point. Highly recommend.
