Asilomar State Beach

This beach is absolutely gorgeous great place to take your dog off leash even though it is not technically allowed, everyone is doing it. Lots of surfers hanging out here and the water is a beautiful turquoise. I had no issues finding parking but that was in January. Really nice trails to walk alongside the coast.

Love this beach! The water is turquoise. Easy walking for miles. Park on the road or at the turnouts with view points. It has a nice beach shore area and there's a wooden walkway with some of the trail hard packed for easier walking. Spectacular ocean views with huge, angry waves crashing on the rocks. It looked like white fireworks!

Beautiful beach and perfect for visiting the tide pools. I do wish there was restrooms available unless you want to drive back to by the golf course to use the restrooms that are not very well managed & Parking is limited as well.

We love this beach/trail. It has been a different experience every time we visit Asilomar (depending on the season and the tides), but always good. Tidepools are available when tides are lower, but we see seals and sea otters when it's high. Such a beautiful place to spend some hours ☀️🌊🐚

Beautiful, well maintained trail with an amazing view and lots of tide pools along the way! The beach is small but perfect if you go at low tide. Parking along the road is free & plentiful. Dogs are allowed on leash.
