Assaggio's Pizzeria Ristorante

Was our go to restaurant for pizza. Not any more after last night experience. My family and I are from lillington. We did take out, when we got home, they had gave us the wrong order. I call, they confirmed that yes it was their mistake. SOOO you can get a credit for tomorrow, or come get the pizza you ordered and stay with the one we gave you. We decided to go back to fuquay because we do wanna have dinner. We get there to receive a cold, burnt pizza. You would think they would have a fresh one for us, BUT NO. I made sure I told them from where I was coming. We won’t be going back.

We stopped in for an afternoon snack to hold us over until dinner. 2 slices of cheese pizza and a drink. Great pizza, crispy crust, sauce not sweet, good cheese not greasy..

The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice.The staff was also really nice and I appreciated it when I came in to get my food. But I will say I ordered wings and pizza and I didn’t like either of them. I’m writing from my experience so I’m not saying don’t go and eat there but I rate the pizza a 3.9/10 because I ordered a deluxe half and the other half pepperoni and when I opened the pizza it seemed like the pizza it’s self was fully cooked but the ingredients for the deluxe side was just cut and put up there. It seemed like my ingredients were just chopped up and put on the cooked pizza. I also ordered buffalo wings and I rate those a 1.6/10 because nor were they spicy or had sauce that acquainted to the description of buffalo wings.

Been going to Assaggios in Fuquay-Varina for many years. The owner is always on top of things. He even comes around the tables to make sure. If we r happy with the service. Everything is made fresh. The girls are really nice. I drive about 40 minutes just to go there. Everything is so nice and clean. God bless them all 🙏

This is a pizzeria style restaurant. I walked in with high hopes, but left disappointed. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. Crust was thin like it should be, but didn't have that semi crisp bottom. It was soft. The edge crust had a cracker like texture. Low grade dough. The cheese is soft and does not taste right. it come apart too easy. Comparable to pizza hut. They went cheap with the pepperoni as well. It did not have much pepperoni taste and had a weird aftertaste. This pizza looked like it was going to be good. They showed some skill in making it. In the end, low cost ingredients make this pizza comparable to the hut or Degornio. If I lived in Fuquay, I would drive to Holly Springs and get ACME. They have the same pizza but with better ingredients and better taste. Edit to add Large
