Astoria Pizza & Pasta

I have been going here for 20 years and I noticed that it is under new management. I ordered alfredo to go and all it tasted like was straight up garlic, literally nothing else so I couldnt eat it (ordered olive garden alfredo sauce to not waste it). I opened my breadsticks which were cold and stale and one of them was broken in half? But the inside ends were toasted and did not conpletely align like a puzzle piece. I dont know what happened there but it just reminded me as if it was reused from another order so I honestly did not want to eat it. The salad and dressing tasted fine but the dressing was pretty liquidy for a bleu cheese dressing, almost close to water consistency. It was a pickup. I forgot to take a picture before eating because it smelled so good. It was good! I never thought of having cilantro on pizza, but it made everything much better.

I believe the other reviews are fake. Because their pizza doesn't look like pizza. I've never seen such big onions on a pizza. We ordered a pizza with chicken, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and peppers. There's a lot of raw peppers, onions and not enough chicken. And raw tomatoes on top. I've never had a pizza like this in my life. I definitely don't recommend this place for pizza.

Wish I got photos of the pizza. This was our first time here, had no idea what to expect. Never saw reviews, just looked up pizza near me and this was it. We were so happy we did this as the food was delicious! Our favorite had chicken and pesto. Its unfortunate that we live 1.5 hours away but would recommend this place to anyone. The staff was all extremely kind! If we are looking for food while down in the area again, we will be back!

I'm definitely a pizza guy. My dad has his own three different pizza places here and there and they were all good. I'm really picky about my pizza in this place is awesome I'm telling you I love it. Great job guys can't wait to try some other food you have
