Athens Pizza & Grill

South Shore‘s favorite Realtor here with another food review. Keep in mind my reviews are based on knowing what you are getting. So I have five star reviews on my profile for high-end fancy restaurants and those reviews are based on knowing what you are expecting there as well. Given the fact that this is a local small little pizza shop I base my review and expectations on that. I expected to come in and get a fresh slice of cheese pizza and threw some carrot cake in as a bonus to try it out. The pizza is exactly what I would expect and I enjoyed it thoroughly and the person helping me threw in a free slice, so that made the experience even better. I would say the carrot cake won the day for me and was full of flavor and very fresh. The pizza was tasty and I was much satisfied with it. I g

I've always been extremely satisfied with my 3 regular orders at Athens. The grilled chicken Ceasar salad is the best I've had anywhere! Super tender chicken, great croutons, plenty of dressing, freshly grated cheese & even cucumbers in salad. Generous portion of everything. The chicken broccoli Alfredo is also fantastic! Their fish & chips plate is plentiful & delicious! Always ready promptly & with great & friendly service. So glad they're one of the best local spots. Thanks.

I’ve visited a few times and brought family in to try some dishes. Pictures don’t do justice. This place is so homey. The flavors are amazing, the ingredients are so fresh. (Pizza slices are HUGE) We’ve tried the gyro lamb pita wrap, pasta with marinara sauce, cheese pizza, baklava and everything has been espectacular. The service is amazing. Owners are very sweet. Menu is extensive and we look forward to trying more dishes.

This is now the 2nd time I order their grilled chicken pasta. This is now the 2nd time I got the pasta without anything. Look at the pic below. The food isn’t cheap either! This was on 4.8.25 so yesterday (at the time of this) Not sure if management has changed or something. However the quality control doesn’t warrant the price. Loved them when they were Athens and never had an issue. However now I’m definitely hesitant to spend my money here again. I just don’t know how you forget two of the 3 main ingredients for Alfredo pasta twice!.

Don’t know how the place has good reviews. Food is nothing special. I order a chicken parm sub and eggplant parm sub. Both were on the dry side even though extra sauce was requested. In the end I won’t return here. Eggplant sub photos added for reference.
