Aurum Steamboat

Aurum in Steamboat Springs is a wonderful place to dine. We’ve visited in both summer and winter, and each season delivers a welcoming atmosphere, attentive service (shout out Laura!), and absolutely delicious food. In the warmer months, the patio is a must when the weather allows — dining outdoors beside the gently flowing Yampa River is truly special. On our most recent visit, our group of four adults and a toddler celebrated a February birthday in the beautiful indoor dining room, and every bite was luscious. We began by sharing the Aurum Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Parker House Rolls — a perfect pairing to enjoy while sipping Espresso Martinis and browsing the menu. Great happy hour prices, food was phenomenal, and excellent service. Was quite impressed with a handful of dishes! The French onion burger was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend the crispy cauliflower and Brussel sprouts. The lamb dumplings were also great, but we got the full order as the happy hour dish was higher cost per dumpling. We found the Bison tartare a little lackluster and too salty. Nachos and Korean fried chicken were both ok, but not great.

We had the most wonderful anniversary dinner at Aurum Steamboat! They got us seated early and even saved a window seat looking at the river for us. The table had a happy anniversary card signed by the whole staff and they greeted us with champagne on the house. We started with the Parker house rolls which were delicious. My husband got the French onion burger which he loved, bonus points for the salt and vinegar fries, and I got the steak that was delicious. We finished the night off with the most perfect chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more for a special occasion.

We loved our experience! The food was sooo good. The elk was really tasty and different…can’t get this everywhere. Also need to mention the lamb dumplings…uhmm yum. Our server was great in making recommendations and really knowing the menu. We are here through Wed and we will be back. We have friends that live here and will tell them to come here. Thank you for a great experience!

I had the best burger I’ve had!! And happy hour is so affordable. Plus, the view of the skiers/ski jumping and river was fun. Highly recommend. We also had: brussel sprouts, liver mouse, wedge salad and coq au vin (the tenderest chicken ever!). All delicious!!
