Austin Street Bar & Grill (formerly Rotana Cafe & Grill)

Stopped by for brunch on a Sunday morning with a group of five. We’re all locals but had never been here before. The space felt calm and relaxed—easy to have a conversation without feeling rushed or crowded. There was plenty of seating and no wait, which was a nice surprise for a Sunday. The food was solid with a small breakfast menu, and prices felt below market for Forest Hills (let’s keep that our little secret). A great neighborhood spot for casual, low-pressure dining when you just want to catch up and talk. Highly recommend the cappuccino.

I’ve been to Rotana Cafe & Grill a bunch of times now, mostly during my lunch break and a few times for breakfast, and they’ve been consistently good. The pasta surprised me the first time—simple, fresh, and cooked right. Their burgers are solid too, juicy without being messy, and definitely better than what you get at most spots around here. The drinks are always fresh, which is something I actually appreciate more than I thought I would. Service is quick, the place is clean, and they keep things moving even when it gets busy. Rotana Cafe & Grill has turned into one of my regular go-to spots. Good food, fair prices, and reliable service—hard to beat.

This spot is awesome. With all the big chain fast food places taking over Austin lately, it’s so nice to have a place that just is what it is. No gimmicks, no trying too hard—just a super chill coffee shop that feels like it belongs here. It’s got a diner vibe, but you can grab a solid coffee, a bite to eat, or even a few beers. There’s TVs, plenty of space, and it somehow reminds me of being abroad—laid back and easy. Definitely a new go-to.

Was in the area for work, came here on a whim. I was not disappointed by the chicken sandwich, it was great. Would definitely return, the breakfast menu looked good. Friendly service 🫶

Today we had the opportunity to have breakfast at this place and were very satisfied. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was polite, the food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were affordable. We sincerely recommend it!!!
