Avellino's Pizzeria & Sports Bar

My review is based on takeout. This place came highly recommended from close friends who live locally and come here all the time. They rave about their food and pizza. This is a Mom and Pop style restaurant. It’s very casual, nothing fancy with a full bar. I ordered a large Bacon and Black Olive Pizza and a large Vegetable Pizza with Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Broccoli, and Tomatoes. Both pizzas were excellent! They didn’t skimp on toppings especially on the Veggie Pizza. The crust was cooked exactly how I like it, more well done and perfectly browned. The toppings were delicious and I enjoyed every bite. I was pleasantly surprised. Avellino’s even offers an extra large size pizza that’s 18 inches. They also have Sicilian style pizza. They have Gourmet Pizzas like Grandma Pizza with Vodka

Great football bar with plenty of TVs. Michelle is excellent behind the bar on Sundays and Debbie is awesome on Thursday nights. Friendly staff, great food and drink specials during the games. Lot Parking is limited but there is parking on the street. Great neighborhood pub, definitely recommend

Best pizza around, beats many wood-fired ones. Everything else we've ordered has also been excellent, from subs to appetizers to entrees to desserts. It's a casual place, but some of the dishes rival the fancier places in the area. At the bar, bartenders are friendly, service is quick, and drinks are good.

We enjoyed our late night to-go order from Avellino's! The staff member was very sweet and helped me select a variety of the by-the-slice options, cause they had a lot of different choices. My friends loved the late night snack! The pizza crust itself was nice and thin and had a good "bready" flavor. The pepperoni rolls-- WOW I wish my photos did them justice! The WHOLE CENTER was filled with rich cheese! You definitely get a strong sense of a family-owned and cared for pizzeria inside. I hope to visit again next time I am in NJ!

Pizza is always great! Probably best pizza in the area! Staff is always friendly and they deliver! They do a lot of other food like pasta and wings! The bartender's are amazing especially Michelle she is a gem! Definitely a place to go on a Sunday for football or if you want to get out and get some good italian food. Highly recommend!
