Customer Reviews
Went to Avvio for a weekday dinner, my husband and I absolutely loved it! This is a restaurant that has been built with love and intention. The Aperol Spritzes were HUGE and so tasty, also cheap for Chicago at $13 each. They bring out a warm, fresh loaf of bread to start your meal. It's a personal touch that makes the homemade aspect of the place come to life. The pasta was absolutely delicious and definitely homemade. Our server and all of the employees were kind and courteous. We will definitely be back for their Happy Hour deals!!
One of my favorite restaurants. Everything is delicious and consistently cooked to perfection. I love the Dover Sole with the yummy butter almondine sauce. Service is excellent! The staff is friendly and attentive. I'm a long time Sabitino's customer. When they first opened pretty much everything was same, complementary pizza bread soup and salad with the meal. But times are tough for us all and unfortunately no more pizza bread and now choice of soup or salad. I still love the restaurant and I highly recommend.
While it's disappointing they don't do complimentary pizza bread for the table anymore, the food here is AMAZING. It's my favorite Italian in the entire city. Prices are very reasonable and service is top notch. Have been coming consistently since they opened 6ish years ago and love it!
My family and I went here for the first time on Mother’s Day weekend. Our female server was amazing and the male host was very accommodating. After being regulars at Sabatinos, a lot of the food was similar but definitely not even close. I had the stuffed crab ravioli in vodka sauce (the chefs special). It was not good at all. I thought it would have been fresh crab but definitely not it. We noticed the female hostess knock down a water glass, pick it up and put it back on the table. Luckily the waitstaff noticed and replaced the glass. But just gross! Overall, it was nice having the family together just wish our experience could have been better.
This was my childhood pizza place and now such a ambient Italian charming and romantic new neighborhood place. The oysters were amazing, the pasta and the fun beverages. All by candlelight and a guitar player. I can’t wait to go back again.
