Back Deck

I had a very nice time at Back Deck. I have celiac disease, so it can be challenging to find places to eat at. I don’t always want Chipotle, so it’s great to have another option for when I come to Boston. I gave 5 stars for the service. I think that the service my cousins and I received was great. But I think that the waitress could have came to our table faster in the beginning. But there could have been reasons for that. So I won’t hold it against her. Because I imagine working as a waiter/waitress can be stressful, because it’s a balancing act. I look forward to returning to Back Deck.

Dinner for 2 prior to a show at the Citizens Opera House (Hamilton). Very family friendly, upbeat atmosphere. Outstanding waitstaff. They take reservations and were ready for us when we arrived. Easy walk from Lafayette parking garage and to Citizens Opera House. Salmon with teriyaki glaze was outstanding. Perfectly cooked. White rice was cooked perfectly as well. Very tasty for white rice. The green beans were a bit undercooked for me, but all together the meal was delicious. Dessert was pumpkin cheesecake - very tasty! We will definitely return in the future.

Good place. Seems very underrated. All meals we had were delicious. We went on a weeknight and were able to get walk in service. Would return! I had the sirloin tips with mashed potatoes that were DELICIOUS!!

Food was good. It was kind of expensive for what it was (burgers) and despite the restaurant being nearly empty it was hard to get our server’s attention for things we shouldn’t have needed to do (e.g. ask for ketchup with our burger and fries).

Very cool atmosphere with open windows. Had eggs and the cheese was just thrown on top. Spouse had chicken sandwich, basic meat in breat. The potatoes were interesting mixed with rosemary. Not sure the pairing with eggs was a good combination. Overall average food. There was outdoor eating which is a plus and you have a pet.
