Great new addition to the Rez! Fun for all! Great food. Great live music. Tap bar. 3 inside bars. Also an outdoor bar. Shrimp and oysters are out of this world. Take advantage of the tap bar experience without having to wait in lines at bars. Just get a swipe card loaded and let it pour. Great staff and atmosphere! Usually a 45 minute wait but they work hard to get you seated. Parking is a challenge at times. Be patient, have a good attitude and go enjoy this new addition to the Rezlife! Tip the staff! They work hard to make all this work! Update. Went on 3/7/26 Fried pickles were full of grease. You could literally pour grease out of the basket. Tap bar was disappointing. Tried Backwater for the first and did not disappoint. Friendly service, Great food, good cocktails, great live music and on the back bay of the reservoir with great views. Two stories of fun with plenty of space and things to do for families. Great place to watch sports. TV's everywhere! A must stop if your local or from out of town!

First off I have to say, this place is not what I expected. It's so much more! We went on Sunday around noon. It was very busy but we did not wait for a table. We ordered the Boudin egg rolls. I'm not a fan of Boudin but they were very good with a unique Peach dipping sauce. Also had the Mozzarella sticks, they were huge and were seasoned very well. The fried Catfish rivals my Dad's so that says a lot, the grilled and fried shrimp baskets were so delicious. The seasonings were spot on! The Philly was amazing, as was the loaded Potato salad. Highly recommend! The only thing that I felt lacked seasoning was the green beans. They were very tender, I just think they needed maybe a little sea salt or parmesan. Something. I finally tried Backwater Grill for the first time this past week. All of the employees were friendly and accommodating to our group. Food as well as drinks from the bar were delivered promptly and we enjoyed our waitress. The shrimp and crab gumbo was delicious, and I also enjoyed the “Backwater Philly.” Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed the atmosphere. It wasn't to loud and the staff was great. Everyone's food was more than satisfactory and plenty of it!
