Backyard Taco - Queen Creek

This place was a disappointment. The quesadilla was swimming in grease and juice each time I lifted it to take a bite. I returned it and showed them the liquid that was making the entire tortilla soggy. The cook said he would remake and the second one was just as bad if not worse. It fell apart and was impossible to eat. I feel so sick to my stomach after all the grease.

A Mixed Plate of Pros and Cons First Impressions We popped in for lunch and opted to dine inside, though the drive-thru was hopping. The restaurant was clean, the staff was warm and welcoming, and the vibe overall felt casual but efficient; exactly what you’d want from a fast-casual taco spot. What We Tried I ordered the chicken quesadilla with double meat, and my friend had the steak quesadilla plate with rice and beans. Loved that you can customize with your own salsa and toppings. Points for the fresh bar setup. The place was very clean the staff was very friendly.. My dad and I each order the two taco plate which included rice and beans... Our protein was birria... The Biria was very moist and juicy yet had absolutely no flavor other than salt salt SALT... Not sure how that happened but I definitely would never order it again.. The rice and bean portion of the platter was very small.. literally just a couple bites.. definitely won't be coming back... there are way too many other restaurants that serve much much tastier birria with way bigger side portions.

It's tough to find a good Mexican restaurant in Queen Creek. When this place opened, its one of the better options we have here. Not great authentic Mexican food, but not horrible. However, the constant mistakes on our order, hit and miss on portions, and dry meat is why we no longer come here. Unless, you have time to go in and order your food, 95% the time they will mess up your order at the drive-thru.

Ordered pollo bowl... CHICKEN AND CABBAGE ONLY!!!! Drove all the way home and ended up with rice and beans in the bowl... Not sure how confusing CHICKEN and CABBAGE in the bowl only is but obviously it was quite a challenge. Not the first time this has happened either. Guess I will have to start checking my food before we leave. So annoying pay a lot for the amount of food you get and then it's completely wrong .... Probably won't go back. There are so many other places that can make two ingredient order correctly.
