Badass Bagels New Canaan

Baddest bagels are sourdough bagels. Which are very good. If you’re interested in the best bagels in the new Canaan area, his place is the place to go to. Be prepared to pay a lot of money because these bagels are made out of gold. If these bagels could be a little bigger, then it would be perfection from a bagel perspective that is. Well, worth it, though, and the vibe and atmosphere in this place is in its own league. It’s located right off the main street. It’s a hidden gem. I’ll add some pictures the next time I’m around. The bagels themselves are good, although don't toast it as they get way too tough. The idea of the cream cheese flavors is good, but none of them actually taste like much. They only 'spread' a couple cream cheese flavors a day, even though they are sitting right there in the fridge. The price for a bagel is outrageous. It's upwards of $6 for one! The service is so awkward at this location, I can't get out of there fast enough. The staff always seems like this is the first bagel or coffee they've made. There's been a cardboard box sitting in the front entry of the store for months, a half completed mural, and no real sign outside - it just seems like the owners don't really care. A bummer, because it had potential.

The bagels are good but there seems to be a supply issue. They never have much even if you get there as soon as they open. Also the cream cheese. They only have certain cream cheeses available to spread upon order and if you want a different one you have to buy a whole tub? The service is where it’s really lacking. Every time I’ve come in it’s taken a ridiculous amount of time to make 1 bagel. The workers cannot keep up and everything looks like it’s their first day on the job. Service is terrible and I’m afraid I won’t be back as I don’t have time to wait 39 mins for a bagel

The bagel itself was good, but the service completely ruined the experience. We were the first in line, yet it took about 30 minutes just to order and receive a simple bagel with cream cheese and cucumber. When we asked for salt, the cashier told us they didn’t have any....???? It was genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

Enjoyed a really good bagel, egg and cheese with tomato jam this morning! The people were friendly and the atmosphere warm . Will definitely be back.
