Baisley's Deli

Like many folks in Peekskill or migrated from the big city, this deli satisfies my nostalgic bodega craving. It's a no frills kinda place, and we don't mind that! We go often, and we're really happy with the food and service every time.

I am giving this deli 5 stars across the board. I went in there today for lunch and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. And let me tell you, this sandwich far exceeded my expectations. I am from Philadelphia originally, so my standards on the matter are high. But I have to say, when it comes to their cheesesteak, they are doing EVERYTHING right. From the quality of the meat and how they slice it, to the bread, to the cheese ratio, it truly tasted like home for me. It 100% would be accepted in any bar or restaurant in Philly, and that is saying something. I am convinced that the person in the kitchen is either from philly, or has family in philly haha. Not sure why people have given this place hate because the coffee is phenomenal. Sometimes you crave a deli coffee but you know it'll taste, ya know, subpar, but this place serves up an absolutely delicious (and cheap!) cup. Their rolls are fresh and their sandwiches are what you can expect from a deli! It's conveniently located and the staff is very friendly, and I recommend stopping by for a quick bite.

It really hurts me to post this. But maybe this is needed to help them fix these issues. Asked for a bagel with butter today and I am still looking for the butter. Please fix this and treat your customers better with actual product.

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese, they did not put bacon and I did not know this until I got home. They told me to bring the sandwich back, which I did despite the driving conditions being terrible. The staff were very rude about it and laughed when I asked for a refund. They did not remake the sandwich but rather just slapped bacon on the now cold sandwich.
