The pastries here are truly outstanding. The corn egg tart is my definite favorite—it has an ideal texture, and the corn gives it just the right amount of natural sweetness. The tart crust is irresistibly crumbly and buttery, making it incredibly satisfying. Ester is so kind and helpful, which makes the whole experience delightful. Excited to come back and get more of these treats for gatherings and office events.

I visited their weekend pop ups in Miramar. You really have to get there early because everything sells out so fast. The corn tarts and matcha tarts are my go-tos, and my kids are all about the s’mores and churro financiers. They honestly have the best egg tarts in San Diego , so flaky and creamy. Esther has also made a custom birthday cake for my daughter every year, and it’s always gorgeous and delicious. Now, they are also accepting a pre-order. Can’t wait to try their new scallion scones and tiramisu tart next time! Bakemellow is truly one of the best spots for unique and memorable pastries in SD.

I love scones and egg tarts, but it’s so hard to find a place that makes both really well. I’m so glad I found this place! Both taste premium and perfectly match my taste. I got them at the weekend pop-up market — highly recommend!

We ordered a birthday cake for our 4-year-old boy, and it was absolutely perfect! The vanilla cake with Oreo cream was not too sweet, soft, and fluffy. The Bluey decoration was also beautiful and exactly what we hoped for. Highly recommend and definitely come back.

The scallion scone is our favorite! It’s buttery and savory, but a little sweet at the same time. They’re best known for their egg tarts which we also loved. Excited to try new items as they become more successful!
