Baker Bros. BBQ

Firstly let me say restaurants like this that openly hire members of "Recovery" make me nervous because of the high risk of bloodborne pathogens. That being said, tonight I received excellent service, excellent loaded fries topped with deliciously tender pulled pork as well as a fantastic blended, peppery cheese sauce. The presentation was good and the conversation was light but enjoyable. Also, I have to include that almost every interaction while performing gigs for these folks goes timely and smoothly.

The bbq is very good, and you get your money’s worth. The loaded French fries were good, but the pulled pork sandwich is better. I went at lunch time, and they only had 3 workers. It took 45 minutes to get my plate. It looks like call-in orders have a priority.

As I love BBQ, I'm always looking for new places to try. This place was okay. They have interesting items on the menu, like the Alfred, a meat lover's dream, which is what I had. The burger patty was burned, not a big deal, maybe the cook was having an off day. I also noticed, later, that none of our sandwiches had slaw on them, maybe they were out of slaw that day. Our waitress was great, I don't remember her name, but she had blue hair and a lot of tattoos. She checked on us often even when the place started getting busy. I would probably eat here again.

Stopped by on our way through town and so glad we did! The food was delicious, with large portions(Baker Bros Combo/Giant stuffed potato with smoked chicken). The staff was welcoming and efficient. Will definitely stop in again when in the area.

Staying in Jackson on our way back home to Chicago and looking for some BBQ while in town for the night. Found this place on Google and we were not disappointed. As soon as you walk in the door the BBQ smell is mouth-watering! Our family really enjoyed the food and experience here. Brisket was fantastic! Highly recommended. Enjoy!
