BakerBaker is my favorite bakery in town. Not that the others aren't good but Amanda and her family have an amazing variety of pastries, they couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I know whenever I bring BakerBaker to a family get together or to a work shindig, people get excited. I also love she's a long time local that helps to make Gainesville the special place that it is. If you haven't tried them yet, I wholeheartedly recommend you do. The Trip To Sweden pastries are the best!!!

Used to love these delicious pastries and their cost ($3/pastry!) when Amanda and her family owned this business. At that time, they deserved over 5 stars. Always sold out. Now, 3 stars due to new owners (since summer 2025) are not friendly at all and have lowered the quality of their pastries. They’ve also created new recipes that are just very mid in my opinion. Miss the old team, bring them back!

Each for just $3! You can enjoy even more delicious bread here at a better price than anywhere else. But hurry—they sell out quickly! My top pick is the morning bun!

I brought a colleague here while they were visiting town last week and we both left disappointed. Although we arrived before 8 am (closer to 7:50-7:55), there was nothing to buy except a few scones. There were some folks behind the counter who looked like they were preparing some pastries; however, we were told that what was in the display shelf was all they had. I'd like to think they were just sold out, but given the lack of foot-traffic outside, it felt more like they were just unprepared to open that day. The two scones we did buy were disappointing. They were rock hard and incredibly dry. I had really high hopes for this spot (especially since it's right next to the opus airstream), but sadly cannot recommend this spot.

My wife is a baker and we could have eaten 15 things here and died happy. Everything was affordable, well baked, and delicious. Best part of our trip through Florida so far.
