Bamboo Grill Jamaican Restaurant

Tried this place out because we were craving some Jamaican food. Loved that they have lunch species until like 6 PM 🥰 The jerk chicken was tender, flavorful, and generously sauced. The mac and cheese was creamy and definitely one of the highlights. The portion sizes were excellent and easily enough for two meals, which we really appreciated. The rice was just a bit dry for our taste, cabbage was okay also, but everything else was worth the come back to NJ!

The BEST food ever! Sometimes you have to go to a place where you have to wear a Bullproof vest! 😂 It was crowded for a reason n worth the wait. The portions are huge, right price, n so flavorful. I drove 40 minutes to get this food because it is worth every bit. The food is very filling too n perfect! From the mac n cheese to the Red Snapper in all. They even have a vegetarian platter too. Will definitely comeback but early in the day not at 3.

Bamboo Grill is a MUST if you love real Jamaican food done the right way. Everything tastes authentic, fresh, and full of flavor—like somebody really took their time in the kitchen. My go-to favorites are the stew chicken and stew fish—both are seasoned perfectly, tender, and always hitting the spot. And let me talk about the sides… the mac n cheese is SLAPPING every single time. Creamy, cheesy, and baked just right—honestly you’ll want to order extra. And if you catch them on the weekend mornings, don’t miss their Ackee & Saltfish. That’s a specialty item and it’s only served on weekend mornings, so you already know it’s something special. Always fresh food, excellent pricing, and consistently busy. Definitely a must-try.

Was craving for some jerk chicken so I was recommended this place at work. Pretty easy to get to, nice place and lively indoor restaurant. Ordering was quick, waited a bit to make it fresh but it was worth the wait. The jerk chicken was tasty with the right spices. Rice and peas were cooked well. Plantains were average but the Mac and Cheese is great! Will definitely come back next time to get the chicken that I recommended but just with the rice and peas and Mac and Cheese sides.
