Bangkok Thai-Sushi Duck, NC

What a pleasant surprise! We’re visiting the Outer Banks and decided to try Bangkok Thai. We had 2 delicious lunch specials, pad Thai and green curry. My Pad Thai was hot, saucy and had lots of chicken, and very flavorful. The best I’ve had in a long time. Bangkok Thai is definitely on our return list.

Impossible to top the service here! Rei and the GM, Corinne were on top of everything from the moment our 5-top came in the door. The food was fast, delicious, filling, and Art to look at. The staff were all attentive, kind, and knew the ins and outs of the menu without batting an eye. I’ve been all over Asia and Thailand, gotta say that this food hits perfectly on the nose!

I give this place a solid 4.5 stars. Our waitress was sweet. The only downside was the wait for our rolls, but to be fair, there were only two people making them, so I completely understand why it took a little longer. That said, the food was 100% worth the wait. I eat sushi every week, and I’ll admit I didn’t have super high expectations—how good could sushi be on the Outer Banks? Well, I was wrong. The rolls were absolutely delicious. The calamari appetizer was tasty with a great sauce, and every roll our table ordered was great. My favorites were the Sumo A5, Hotty Hotty, and Heart Attack rolls. Not sure when I’ll be back to OBX, but when I am, this restaurant will be a must stop.

First time to OBX—I love visiting local restaurants anywhere I go, and this one did not disappoint. Flavors were on point, and the service was wonderful. My favorite part? The squid actually included TENTACLES (not just rings). Side note: We couldn’t see the restaurant from the main drag. We had to park and then take a little walk through the cute village there, but it was totally worth it!

went in last night as a walk in party of 5 and they were able to accommodate us within ten minutes with a peaceful table outside! amazing sushi and we will definitely be back again for some more thai food. and from the looks of it, they have a pretty good take out business which we will keep in mind for a big family night!
